Staff Accounting Certificate of Achievement

This program is designed for students seeking jobs in bookkeeping and accounting. The curriculum prepares students for occupation in accounting and/or supplements the currently employed accountant with additional skills. All courses in this program satisfy semester unit requirements necessary to quality to sit for the Uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examination. Students interested in becoming a CPA will find this program particularly useful.

Enrolled Agent Tax Specialist Certificate of Specialization

This program prepares prospective accountants with the necessary foundation for all types of taxation issues and to be eligible to sit for the 2-day Enrolled Agent exam. Enrolled Agents are tax professionals certified and licensed by the Internal Revenue Service to represent taxpayers. Enrolled Agents may practice before the IRS in all matters connected with taxation relating to clients’ rights, privileges, and laws or regulations administered by the Internal Revenue Service. Enrolled agents may practice anywhere in the United States.

Certificate Requirements: 5 courses totaling 13 to 14 units
