High Tech Center (HTC)
The HTC is a specialized computer lab which is specifically for students registered through Golden West College ACE (DSP&S). The center is located across from the ACE (DSP&S) office in Library 130. Use of the HTC can maximize opportunity for success and independence.

- My Reader CCTV
Software Programs that are available in the High Tech Center for students to use when completing assignments:

- GDP 1 - 120 (Computer Business Applications typing program)

- Kurzweil 1000 10.03 (Scan/Read software for blind students)
- 10.03 Kurzweil 3000 10.03 (Scan/Read software for learning disabled students)
- Dragon Naturally Speaking 9.0
- Jaws 8.0 (Screen reader for blind students)
- Scientific Notebook 5.5
The High Tech Center also has one Macintosh computer available for student use. The following software applications are available on these computers:

HTC Policies and Procedures
The following requirements must be met before student can use the HTC:
- Be a registered student at Golden West College
- Register in the correct ticket number for the Learning 927 class and pay the $8.00.
- Read and sign the HTC student Contract and the Coast Community College District Guidelines regarding Student Computer Usage.
Hours of Operation*:
- Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am - 9:00 pm
- Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Saturday: 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
