The athletic facilities are one of the finest in the state, just minutes away from beautiful downtown Huntington Beach, Golden West offers many amenities to our athletes, students, staff, and local community. With numerous state of the art facilities, Golden West presents an unique opportunity for the student athlete.

Aerobics Room
Located above the Fitness Center, the aerobics room provides a professional setting for a number of various activities, including step-aerobics, yoga, pilates, and dance.

Athletic Training Room
GWC student-athletes benefit from one of the best athletic training facilities in the state. The athletic training room is open throughout the day for athletes to perform rehabilitation and receive treatments for injuries. It is equipped with hydrotherapy, taping areas, and various modalities, including electrical stimulation and therapeutic ultrasound, offering student-athletes the latest techniques in sports medicine. The athletic training room also serves as a classroom and lab for students in the Athletic and Fitness Studies program, preparing students for transfer into a CAAHEP approved athletic training program.

Aquatics Center
Located across from the gymnasium the all deep 52 meter swimming pool that is home to GWC's water polo and swim teams and serves as a classroom for various swim classes. The pool is open for various community swim programs, in addition to extensive on-campus usage.

Baseball Field
The Fred Hoover Baseball Field boasts one of the top campus baseball facilities in the state. The field consists of home and away dugouts, a red clay infield, bullpen areas, and is completely fenced in (with dimensions of 345 down the lines and 417 to straight away center).

Fitness Center
The Fitness Center provides a state-of-the-art fitness facility for faculty, staff, students and community members. The Center is equipped with cardiovascular equipment, dumbbells, and Lifefitness circuit training machines. Under the supervision of professional staff members, the Center is open Monday through Saturday throughout the year.

Football Stadium
The football field has been renovated with FieldTurf, a state-of-the-art surface that is played on at numerous NFL stadiums and NCAA universities. FieldTurf combines soft, synthetic grass with an underlying layer of silica and rubber granules. The surface works well for all sports, notably for soccer, football and lacrosse. Studies have shown that the FieldTurf is easier to play on and it helps minimize certain injuries caused by other artificial turf surfaces. LeBard Stadium was introduced to FieldTurf in the Fall of 2006.

Gym
Home to the Rustler’s Basketball and Volleyball programs, the Gym serves as a hub for numerous campus activities. With a seating capacity of over 1200, the Gym has served as host for a variety of high school, club, and college events.
