Welcome to Automotive Technology @ GWC

Properly trained individuals stand to earn a good living working as automotive technicians.  And there are steppingstone opportunities that begin with a solid background in auto service and repair training.  With vehicles lasting longer, good technicians are needed to service and repair these vehicles.

ASE/NATEF logoThe Automotive Technology program at Golden West College is designed to prepare students to enter the workforce as entry level technicians or to work in other related occupations. The program is certified by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) and our courses and instruction align with NATEF requirements and standards.  GWC Auto Tech Instructors are highly qualified to teach in their areas of expertise and are certified by the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) which has national prominence and recognition by the automotive industry.

The lab facilities, operations and equipment are intended to reflect industry standards and better assist students for easier transition into employment opportunities.  One of these people may be you!

For those technicians presently working in the field, advanced course work is also available to meet state licensing requirements or to pursue promotional opportunities.
