This course provides the fundamentals of basic police training in compliance with the minimum standards established by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). Important: Firearms Portion has enrollment requirements:
- Participants must have a Department of Justice (DOJ) clearance letter (or equivalent) on file with the CJTC office before being allowed to register for this class.
- You can pick up a LiveScan form in the CJ office, and the LiveScan can be performed on campus: 714-895-8708. There is a fee for this service.
- Participant must meet specific physical requirements for firearms range qualification.
- Students are responsible for payment of firearms range and ammunition fees.
