Champion of the Under Represented.  Is one of many reasonsto honor the former professor of  Spanish who will always beremembered by students she mentored and colleagues she inspired.

Bruni, the nickname many of her colleagues and friends called her, joined Golden West College in 1976 as coordinator of the Bilingual Bi-Cultural Teacher’s Aide program.  Later, she worked as coordinator of the Intercultural Center, where she organized community events such as KinderCaminata and Chicano/Latino Day.  Today, these events are important to the college’s outreach efforts in helping minority students realize their dreams through higher education.  From February 1980 to December 2004, she was a professor of Spanish.

Bruni earned a BA degree from California State University, Dominquez Hills, an MA degree from the University of California, Irvine, and studied Comparative Cultures in Madrid, Spain.

This pillar is dedicated to the memory of Brunilda L. Cronk by her family, friends, colleagues, students, and acquaintances.
