John Lantow
Salon Canvass owner John Lantow is recognized by his peers and clients as one of the most successful local businessmen and international stylist-trainers. About 20 years ago, John and his partners transformed their dream into reality—by opening Salon Canvass in Huntington Beach. And almost two decades later, Salon Canvass is a well-established, full-service salon with significant ties in the community.
Today, Salon Canvass sponsors fundraisers for many local organizations, including the Huntington Harbour Philharmonic Assoc., Huntington Harbour New Comers, Huntington Youth Shelter, and Golden West College.
For many years now, John has made a big difference in giving back to the community and industry. He has trained many of the college’s cosmetology graduates who started their careers working at the salon and have gone on to become talented trendsetters.
John was raised in Huntington Beach and graduated from the Golden West College cosmetology program in 1978.
