Masters Swimming World-Record Holder.

Since joining this elite organization in 1972, Rita has set 36 world records in the 70 - 75 age group. And in 1999 and 2003, she was named Swimmer of the Year in Swim magazine. Today, Rita continues to be one of the top competitors in her age group, concentrating on freestyle and breaststroke.

Rita attributes her success to the training and encouragement provided by the college staff members. She especially thanks coaches: Jem McAdams, Sandy Bonneau, Ken Hamdorf, and Rick Graves.

Rita will be inducted into the International Masters Swimming Hall of Fame in 2006.
