Lydia Kay Stevens
Lydia Kay Stevens is honored for her success as a business-woman and an educator. She is the owner and executive director of EAP, Inc., located in Chico, California. EAP (employee assistance program) provides professional staff for mental health, staff development and training, substance abuse treatment, case management, and human resource development and consulting to businesses and organizations in central and northern California. Before that, she was president and co-director of Prevention Education Program (PEP), a prevention education program for chemically dependent persons. "Helping people in need" is her true pillar of success.
Kay is a member of numerous professional associations and community organizations. She is an active member of the Chico Rotary Club, one of the largest and most active clubs in the state.
She has taught Sociology courses at California State University, Long Beach, Butte Community College, and Golden West College.
Kay earned an associate’s degree (alpha gamma sigma) from Golden West College and both bachelor’s (magna cum laude) and master’s degrees (summa cum laude) in Sociology from California State University, Long Beach. She is also an invited member of Phi Kappa Phi, the national honor society.
